1.1 The Golden Stars - What We Know...

TIMELINE
It is not yet known how long the Golden Stars has been in existence, but we know that the Golden Stars rose to power in the vacuum left behind from the end of the Dominion War.

QUALITY OF LIFE
Many of the worlds on the 'fringe' of the Gamma Quadrant are rather dystopian. Originally settled by Dominion member races to harvest resources, these planets have had trouble finding ways to offload what is harvested. The Golden Stars stepped in to provide a sense of law and order, but have corrupt intentions of their own.

Several mining worlds actually fell into quite a state of disarray. In exchange for protection and ways to trade resources, the Golden Stars instituted their own law and systems, creating a system of debt and payment for individuals and families. Food, like many other commodities, is still hard to come by, so if someone can't work or pull their weight, the individual will likely be cut off. Many families choose to indenture a child or spouse in order to have their basic needs provided for.

INTERACTION WITH OTHERS
We still have not yet met anyone officially in membership with the Golden Stars. Further exploration and discovery will be needed.
