After seeing Joey and telling her what had happened to Torg, the two had gone off to her quarters, Mila had entered alone to be greeted by Chow. She gave the little monkey a pet and replicated a bowl of his favorite treats, then gone into the bathroom. She removed her uniform and got in the shower, setting it to pulsing rather than water and hoped it help her relax some before she talked to Aidan.

To say that it had been a long day would be an understatement. Aidan had been testing some of the new equipment in Science and getting accustomed to the new holographic representation of the computer. Watching and tracking the results of some of that testing seemed like it was the worst. The best part of his day was about to happen. He was coming home to Mila.

Once inside, he gave Chow a pat on the head and a little scratch at the back of his neck. He noticed the bowl had been filled and expected that Mila was already home. A slight smile crept across his face as a roguish thought of surprising her in the shower came to mind. Instead, he chose to grab a drink of cold water from the replicator before heading to the bedroom.

When Mila heard the sound of footsteps in the bedroom, she peeked her her out of the shower unit and listened for a moment. "Aidan?" she queried.

"Yes, my dear, it is I," Aidan called out. He'd sat on the edge of the bed and removed his boots. The El-Aurian looked down and wiggled his toes before removing the socks.

She came out of the shower and threw herself into his arms, mindless of the fact that she wasn't wearing anything and began to sob. "I...I am being horrible person," she sobbed.

Not quite being the reception he thought he'd get, Aidan was slightly caught off guard. He grabbed a blanket that had been folded and laying on the end of the bed. After wrapping it around her, he wrapped his arms around her. "No, no you aren't," he said. "But you can tell me what has brought you to this conclusion."

"I-I did not tell Joey that I am one who killed Torg when Dolmoqour invaded. I waited nine months. Now I am feeling even more horrible for waiting so long." Mila said as she clung to him.

He held her and rubbed her back with his hand. "When they invaded may not have been the best time to tell her with all that was going on. And over the course of the last nine months, she has been growing accustomed to motherhood and all of it's changes. Just because you waited so long does not make you a horrible person. I see it as you having her best interests at heart and not wanting to turn her world anymore upside down that it was at those times. The passage of time seems to make news such as that easier to handle for many species." He continued to rub her bare back in the hopes of comforting her.

She looked up at him, tears still in her eyes. "You are being wise man, Aidan Crehan," she said. "Thank you."

"You know that I will always be here for you, Mila." He looked into her reddened, damp eyes and wiped the tears from her cheeks.

"And I for you," Mila said. "I will be trying to make it up to Joey. Is least I can do."

"You are a very creative person. I'm certain that you will come up with a wonderful way to make it up to her," he replied. "In the meantime, what can I do for you?"

"Just hold me," she murmured. "Just hold me."

"That I can do, sweetheart." Aidan sat there, just holding Mila, until she was ready to get up. And he hoped that wouldn't be any time soon.
