General Overview		Miriam is a curious,ambitious and hard-working non-commissioned science officer in Starfleet. Despite that work ethic, she is not grimly determined and can be quite cheerful. In private matters she is quite shy and would never make the first step towards a man she finds interesting. With her cool demenour she tries to mask her inner insecurity and self-doubt. Miriam is not as self-confident as she wants to make others believe. This also shows when she is talking to superior officers like the CO which tends to make her nervous. Her greatest fear is failure. Miriam is a brave character in the sense that she stands up for her believes. But she can be timid and uncertain when there is a physical danger. Miriam is a compassionate and emotional person – especially in her private life and around friends -which she often tries to hide as she thinks that makes her vulnerable. She is very clever and has a lot of expertise in the field of stellar cartography.

Personal History		Miriam was born on Luna as the only child of an engineer and a botanist. She comes from a modest, down to earth background as her parents lived a very unobtrusive life. She was raised in the spirit that hard work was a value in itself and therfore did very well at school. After school she decided to join Starfleet Academy. Originally, she wanted to become a commisioned science officer, and she did very well in the Academy due to her work ethic. However, she left the Academy early after only two and a half years as a non-commissioned scientist, which was totally untypical of her. Rumours say that this was due to a misfortunate romantic relationship, but she has never really spoken to anyone about it - not even her parents. Her area of expertise is Stellar Cartography and she was transferred to the USS Black Hawk.
