| Physical Description | Denyse has the body of someone who only casually works out, soft but sparse as she spends most of her time in the labs. She has white hair braided in rows on her left side above her ears, a realistic tattoo of a spider with a yellowish mark on it's back, and is almost always seen wearing a monocular eye and ear piece on her left eye. Her most distinguishing feature is the fact that her left hand from just past her wrist to her fingertips is cybernetic with no humanoid skin covering it. |

| Personal History | Denyse grew up the child of a Maquis Betazoid female and a human male who had fled to the Orion Sector when Federation/Cardassian tensions had arison and the DMZ had formed. The Federation had 'turned their backs' on the colonists on planets that had been ceded to the Cardassians. Rather than stay and fight, her parents had fled the planet Jarula and ventured into the Orion Sector and settled on Rigel IV. She was born in 2360 as a surprise because both of her parents had made sure to take regular contraceptive shots. She was a tiny baby, barely four pounds and spent weeks in an incubation and medical unit after being bitten by an Orion spider when she was hours old. After finally leaving the hospital, she seemed like any other baby except she always seemed to be staring intently at everything around her as if looking for the spider that had bitten her, or one that was looking to bite her. Denyse grew up looking at everything the same way, but for different reasons. She would study the material of something someone was wearing, a piece of artwork, a crystal, or anything else that caught her interest. When she learned that she had nearly died as a child as a result of being bitten by a spider, she turned her attention to arachnids and began her career as an ametuer arachnologist and began studying exobiology with a specialization in insectoids and later arachnids. |
