Personality & Traits

General Overview Hictus is serious and grin man, with very little humor in his personality. He believes that getting the job done is the priority and above all else he finds that easygoing people will be inefficient about their jobs. He finds satisfaction in his profession and is prideful for working for Star Fleet. He does not suffer fools well.
Strengths & Weaknesses Hictus has the professionalism of a Engineer who knows how to take a Starship apart and put it back together. He is extremely analytic and procedural, Hictus is given a task to accomplish and will do so quickly and with precision.

Hictus failings lay in not being flexible in his thinking; he will not "think outside the box". He also does not like take reprimand very well, taking such reprimands as a personal slight on his work.
He is also immensely prideful of what he does.
Ambitions Hictus wishes to one day achieve the rank of Commodore and lead others with efficiency.
Hobbies & Interests Hictus enjoys playing chess against the computers of ships he served on. He also enjoy's playing the tin whistle, though he has never allowed anyone to listen to him play, bar Nytala.

Personal History Hictus was born on Halee, a world that is on Klingon space, when his parents shuttle was forced down during an ion storm. His mother gave birth to him there, and the family had to survive on that planet for eight years, due to the rare but intensely strong ion storms that ravaged across the upper atmosphere, preventing communications with the outside.
Hictus grew up quickly in this environment, where the atmosphere outside could kill you if it was too wild. After eight years the ion storms that flowed around Halee dissipated allowing a nearby freighter to pick up the family's signal and transport them to a Federation colony along their trading route. Along the journey Hictus would often rest in the engineering section and watch the engineer work over the freighter stressed warp core. Finding this interesting Hictus would ask the Tellerite how things worked. Though the Tellerite initially ignored him, he did eventually begin to take to the boy, calling him "Scuttle". For the four months to Federation space Hictus learned to repair, strip and re-modulate every component on-board.

Following this traumatic episode and excessive counselling Dicon held a long conversation with his parents about joining Star Fleet, eventually passing with flying colors.
Not serving in the Dominion war but being his services after the wars end. Hictus has worked on two Starships before requesting transfer to the U.S.S Black Hawk
